10-day/15-day injured list

RHP (right shoulder impingement)
Expected return: Late June/early July
Cabrera, rehabbing in Jupiter, Fla., threw a 30-pitch up-down session on June 11. He is scheduled for two innings of live batting practice on June 14. Cabrera previously threw a 25-pitch bullpen on June 7.

Cabrera progressed to playing catch on May 13 after he received an injection on May 8 that relieved the pain in his right shoulder, but he was then in no-throw status for 5-7 days after a May 17 bullpen session. He began the season on the injured list with the same diagnosis and missed a month of the 2023 season. (Last updated: June 11)

RHP (left hamstring strain)
Expected return: June
Hoeing threw 26 pitches in live batting practice in cages because of Jupiter, Fla., weather on June 11. He is scheduled for two innings with Single-A Jupiter on June 14. Hoeing previously had a bullpen session on May 30 and threw a live batting practice on June 5.

Hoeing felt mild tightness after beginning his rehab assignment with two innings on May 21 with Triple-A Jacksonville. He said he first tweaked his hamstring during Spring Training but pitched through it. (Last updated: June 11)

RHP (right shoulder inflammation)
Expected return: TBD
Sánchez is asymptomatic while throwing and rehabbing in Jupiter, Fla. After experiencing a big dip in velocity in his May 31 start vs. Texas, he was placed on the IL on June 2. Sánchez has had a history of major shoulder problems, including two surgeries that caused him to miss three big league seasons from 2021-23. (Last updated: June 11)

60-day injured list

RHP (neck spasms)
Expected return: Imminent
Chargois is with the club in New York but has yet to be activated. He tossed two innings on June 9 after appearing in back-to-back games for Triple-A Jacksonville on June 5-6. Since restarting his rehab assignment on May 21, he has tossed eight consecutive scoreless outings spanning 10 frames for the Jumbo Shrimp. Chargois also appeared in a Florida Complex League intrasquad game.

On April 26, Chargois had a setback and underwent subsequent tests on his neck. Chargois first experienced the neck spasms on Feb. 23, and he saw his velocity max out at 92.6 mph -- much lower than his average fastball velo of 96.2 mph in 2023 -- during his Grapefruit League debut on March 12. LHP (left elbow ulnar neuritis)
Expected return: Post-All-Star break
Simpson, who underwent surgery for left elbow ulnar neuritis on April 23, is continuing his throwing program in Jupiter, Fla.

Simpson, who opened the season on the injured list (retroactive to March 25), didn't pitch in a Grapefruit League game after his Feb. 27 outing because he began to feel discomfort. He was transferred to the 60-day IL on April 20. (Last updated: June 11)

RHP (Tommy John surgery)

Alcantara, who has been playing catch off and on, is rehabbing with the team in New York. He initially felt the discomfort on the 94th and final pitch of his Sept. 3 start against the Nationals and was diagnosed with a right forearm flexor strain. An MRI later revealed a right UCL sprain. He began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Sept. 21 but shut himself down after experiencing forearm tightness. (Last updated: June 11)

Pérez's recurring nail issue had forced him to exit for precautionary reasons after just 14 pitches on March 13 -- but the bigger issue came the following morning when he reported feeling soreness in his right elbow. (Last updated: June 11)
